Pizza Express Carmarthen

A challenging site in Carmathens new retail centre required a dynamic appraoch. The solution works with the unusually long and thin nature of this new build site to create a fresh & exciting restaurant. By developing a series of suspended curved ceiling ‘ribbons’ in laminated hardwood, Cubit3D have deliberately emphasised the length of the restaurant to put the pizzaiola ‘centre stage’. Continuing the theme, the ribbons also strike off parallel to the shopfront to become unusual wine library features. The timber panelling throughout is offset by large areas of stone mosaic in a bold 3-tone design, which looks particularly bold on the front of the pizzaiola.
